It's possibly an issue with your dpi button as there's a scrolling mode and media mode.

Whenever I scroll with mouse wheel, sptify volume banner shows up and controlling the volume. I couldn't use my house wheel for regular scrolling/zooming features in my PC anymore. I tried disabling in the preferences => show desktop overlay when using media keys, but it doesn't disable that volume control feature. It is extremely annoying.

It's Windows 10 PC.

Sounds silly but this might just be a mouse problem. If you have a wireless mouse, there might be a switch on it that changes it from media mode to scrolling mode, on some models it should be held down for 3 secs. If not, the issue might be solved by just taking out the batteries and then put them in again.

If you are on a wired mouse, disconnect it and reocnnect.
