Spotify keeps freezing up Windows!

Everytime I open Spotify on my Windows 10, it tries to load, then freezes up my whole computer, even my mouse. Ctrl+Alt+Delete doesn't work so I have to do a hard restart. I've tried installing/uninstalling Flash, Enabling/Unenabling firewalls but the only thing that seems to work is to uninstall then reinstall Spotify EVRY TIME I want to use it on my laptop, which is super irritating. Can anyone please help?

Hey @sadiemayhem

Looks like a memory leak to me... Have you recently installed the Creators Update?
If you'd open Task Manager or Resource Monitor and navigate to the memory tab, and then try to open Spotify, then with memory leak the mem usage is rising rather rapidly...

If it's indeed a memory leak, then I can't give a simple answer for every person has so far come up with a unique solution. BUT there is one Memory Leak topic with some good suggestions...

About possible solutions... This one looks good to me (it includes disabling local files).

That's actually what was my issue, it was reading my Local Library and since I have a rather big library, my machine froze quite completely (even the mouse) for solid 20 minutes before going back to normal again.
