topic Logitech G710+ Volume Control in Desktop (Windows)

I am wondering if there is any way for me to use the volume wheel on my logitech G710+ to control the volume of spotify (not the whole system). I have looked online and found a post where someone said that the spotify team was looking into it 11 months ago.

Does anyone know if it is possible (not using something like AHK)
