Video Ads With Sound Playing Over Music

On the Windows desktop app if I change from the browse window to the radio window sometimes the ads will be video ads that have audio. This is annoying because the ads will play over my music. These are not regular ads that come in between songs. They are pop up ads that appear above the music player controls.

This has happened 3 times already. I am pretty sure this was not intended and I think there must be an ad playing mistake.

I've been having the same issue. Hope they can get this error fixed soon as I'm pretty sure it has been happening for several weeks for me. I thought my bluetooth speaker was dying but it is really an ad with low sound playing during music playback and making the music skip.

Same issue here, except the ads playing through my speakers can't be turned down using Spotify's volume control, so they play at full blast every time. SUPER annoying to say the least, and very much unappreciated to have the ads playing over my music. I totally accept them playing between songs, but c'mon! Spotify, please fix this and the issue I posted about a month and a half ago now.

Just curious... Why refer us to a post with no comments that was submitted after this one, while choosing to post updates there? Doesn't make much sense to me honestly. Would make more sense to link others to one that already has a discussion going, wouldn't it? I'm genuinely curious and desperately trying not to sound rude here!

Hey @Clorix,

The Issues board is not exactly a general forum. Like the Ideas board, where users can post their Ideas on Spotify and other users can vote for it and tell their opinions, Issues board is something similar, but about problems. Spotify staff (and Stars) go through the Issues board. It's necessary to leave your mark to that Issue post so that Spotify can see that the problem is not as obscure...
(Your location could be useful information as well for ads are often location-based).

Ok that makes more sense now. I didn't realize this was more of a general forum. In that case, would it be possible to move the post for this issue and my own issue I posted about a month and a half ago to that forum so that they get more attention from Spotify? I think we posted in this forum because it's under Help, and it's happening on the Desktop version.
