I was getting this error too and tracked the root cause of it down to the 'Show songs from iTunes' setting under 'Local Files' in the settings page (which you get to from Edit > Preferences).

I don't know why that option is even there as I don't think I've ever installed iTunes on this particular computer (though I have installed it on other computers in the past, and possibly had my music folder on the F:\ drive on my previous computer too), so perhaps it's a setting that 'roams'.

In any case, toggling that setting to off solved the problem without me having to resort to editing the registry to suppress the error message (which in my opinion is not a great idea as it might cause real errors to be suppressed in other applications).

Hey all in this thread!

I might have a solution for you, try these steps:

Go to Start > Click On Run > Type "Regedit" > Click OK

Navigate to: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Windows\

Change the value of the ErrorMode key to 2

In your situation CSRSS.EXE (Microsoft Client Server Subsystem) may attempt to locate media which don't exist

Can you provide a screenshot, to see what is there?

These folders are Windows standard folders, and should be there, try to restart your computer and see if there is any difference. If not, I assume it's something related to your Windows version.

If you didn't find the folder anyway, you can try to re-install Spotify, as this usually helps for many ongoing issues, thanks!
