can not uninstall Windows App

After working completely fine for half a year, the Spotify desktop application did not start since today. It appears in my taskmanager when I try to open it, but only as a background process.

I tried to uninstall/reinstall Spotify, but wasn't able to do so, neither trough the system-control nor the windows-safe-mode let me choose that option.

For clarification, I use Windows 10 and I did not change anything on my pc in the last 2 months.

What can I do? I know how to uninstall/run normal programs, but could someone please give me a tip?
