Certain Record Labels have different licensing towards each song. Maybe this is the case, maybe Spotify is deleting all the songs but haven't finished it yet (It's impossible to delete it all at once as it could possibly destabilize the server hosting all the data).

I remember Andy Grammer releasing "Hallelujah" and it isn't on Spotify due to licensing with that specific song.

One example of removed artists is Taylor Swift!

If I may ask, what do you mean with "Also I can understand not getting new albums, you can be poor, don't have money for new albums, or don't even know artist have a new album"?

I shall close my comment by quoting Spotify's "Content missing" page:

"We want all the world’s music on Spotify. However, some artists and tracks are not currently available. Sometimes agreements can’t be reached with the artist or label, or a change may happen in music ownership.

Thousands of albums and artists are added to Spotify every day. If you can’t find an artist you’re looking for, they may appear (or reappear) soon.

In the meantime, feel free to contact the artist or their label to ask when they plan to be on Spotify."

Hello

Some of my working songs are now not available. Also my favourite Japanese singer Fuyumi Sakamoto's albums are no where to found. I see only one album of her. I even made a playlist months ago with lots of songs of her (like 90+ songs) but now they are gone too.

What is happening? Why are you removing songs?

As for other songs, I can play albums but one or two songs in the album are not playable.

For example;

Artist: Pentagram

Album: Anatolia

Song: 1000 in the Eastland

Artist: Sabaton

Album: Carolus Rex (Exclusive Bonus Edition)

Song: Twilight of the Thunder God - Bonus track

Artist: BabyMetal

Album: BabyMetal

Song: Give Me Chocolate (Live)

Artist: Celik

Album: Best of Celik

Song: Meyhaneci

Pentagram

https://open.spotify.com/album/3RdTtkrNXEVlWOyxgWULzr

Celik

https://open.spotify.com/album/6IO0LPBXirIswWQ8496XDD

Fuyumi Sakamoto

https://open.spotify.com/album/1PIeYACTcPKSwdIqvMFWIs

Sabaton

https://open.spotify.com/album/1CoGg40NBclT9PN5lik95n

Babymetal

https://open.spotify.com/album/0Jg5VFDcEMA38XnQHWTck1

https://open.spotify.com/album/2Xzz2rVZIwoJr1S3btHPho

Hey! Let's see what we can do:

First of all, have you tried a basic reinstall of Spotify?

Second, if you see that songs are disappearing, then it is because of licence agreements between Artist-Record Label-Spotify.

Hope it works!

Have a nice day!

Well, reinstalling isn't working. Also if you have license problem you should remove whole artist or album not one or two songs from album. That is not logical.

Also I can understand not getting new albums, you can be poor, don't have money for new albums, or don't even know artist have a new album (*hint* Manowar *hint*) but removing existing songs and albums? I am out of logical reasons.

As for my example, artist Manowar, globally known one, has only 6 albums on Spotify, and their total albums are much more than that.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Manowar_discography

Adding new artists and new songs are acceptable but removing songs are not acceptable.

And for my favourite Japanese singer Fuyumi Sayamoto now only have one album (ONE!) in Spotify. What happened to rest of her albums and songs? Shall I just cancel my premium account and buy her CDs from Japan?

I know it's not acceptable to delete songs but sometimes Spotify has got no other option 😞

Please consider that if you cancel your premium you will lose a lot of other cool music you can hear offline! If you want, you could enjoy Fuyumi Sayamoto with the local files on your PC (let's say you have downloaded them and have them on your HDD).

As I said, please by patient with Spotify while it works towards bringing her back and a lot of other artists!

Sorry I don't have any illegal music in my computer. I was using Spotify all the time for my music needs but it seems they changed their ways.

Even on my home page I am seeing Drake, Jazz music, ,Hiphop, Rap music as recommendations. Have you no shame? I want Japanese Slow pop, because it helps me to learn Japanese faster, and Metal music because I have been listening to them for more than 30 years. And Spotify home page is full of these nonsense. And Spotify decided to remove my favourite songs and albums one by one and decided not to add new albums.

Last Manowar album was from 1996...
