Hey @mathisoad1

What antivirus are you using? I know some of them scan the streams realtime, causing some latency in stream, therefore dropouts and noise in the audio. I suggest you try and disable the antivirus /antimalware for a bit to see if that's the cause. if yes, try to find a way in the program to leave Spotify out of this. 🙂

Keep me posted! 🙂

@mathisoad1

Oh alright. 🙂
There is the web player for Spotify, do you have this issue there too?

Sometimes there are settings turned on in the sound device preferences, such as some kind of enhancements. Try disabling these.

Reinstalling the audio driver could fix issues as well.

Click the Windows icon in your taskbar, type device manager in the Start Search box, and then press Enter

Double-click on Sound, video, and game controllers

Locate and double-click the driver that is causing the error

Click the Driver tab

Click Uninstall

Click the Scan for hardware changes button.

Additionally, play something from Spotify and have Resource Monitor open. If you notice that memory or CPU usage is spiking for some reason, then that's the likely culprit.
