Diamonds broke Spotify!

To explain this further, when the ad for Forevermark diamonds appeared my client broke. The ad says it is playing but I hear no audio and the ad does not complete. Instead it stops at 14 of 15 seconds. What is also perplexing is that whenever I change something (volume, playlist, etc...) the ad restarts.

I have tried restarting the client, restarting the computer, and reinstallling spotify. Whenever I open it the Forevermark diamond ad is there, mocking me.

I request asistance.

I am using the Windows desktop client version 1.0.43.123.g80176796.

Microsoft Surface Pro 3 i7, 8GB of RAM.

Windows 10 Pro Anniversery Update.

Update: The problem seems to have resolved itself. For now.
