Spotify slow and slows down other Programs

I use Windows 8.1 and I have enough RAM and space on my hard-drive. Still Spotify runs very slow, the longer I use it, the slower it gets. It sometimes takes minutes until a search is done.

Additionally it slows down other programs and apps too.

What can I do?

Hey @deimuddi1

One suggestion I can give is toggling off 'Enable Hardware Acceleration'.
Another thing that worked wonders for me was disabling local files and also deleting the local-files.bnk from %appdata% - Spotify folders. It's in Spotify/Users, inside a folder named something like 122425-user.

Does it show any significant resourse usage, for example in Resource Monitor?
