[Windows] Help! Black Screen on Spotify!

Hello Everyone:

I'm having a little problem with Spotify on my Computer. I've downloaded and done a clean installation. Everything was perfect, even it appeared the welcome screen and I logged in. But after that, the screen turns out in a black empty space, with nothing at all to see or listen. I have my Windows Firewall disabled and I used the latest installer from the Official Website.

Can anybody help me figure this out? I'll leave a screenshot to make it clearer.

Hi @eugeycris,

Would you mind deleting the russian language from Spotify? If not, just go to:

C:\Users\*user name*\AppData\Roaming\Spotify\locales\ru.mo

And delete it. Let me know if it works!

You can also try deleting all the other languages except Russian, it may also work 🙂

Thank you very much!! Now it works like a charm! I never was going to figure it out by myself! I was reading that big topic about the same Issue and saw that erasing that file might be the answer.

Who might say that Russian Language was the problem? 😛

the problem is that when i start spotify all i get is an empty black screen. The solution is not that i can remove russian letters, this is a nonsense solution.
