    <description>&lt;P&gt;Hi all,&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I'm having issues with a&amp;nbsp; completely blank content area on first start, as shown in this screenshot:&amp;nbsp;&lt;A href="https://imgur.com/rIxOdyy" target="_blank"&gt;https://imgur.com/rIxOdyy&lt;/A&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I'm on Win7, and this is a new install of Spotify on this machine.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I've read through a number of other support threads here for similar issues. My&amp;nbsp;troubleshooting&amp;nbsp;so far based on those threads so far has&amp;nbsp;been:&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;* Restart the device&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;* Disable hardware acceleration from the menus&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;* Run spotify.exe with flags `--disable-accelerated-layers --disable-accelerated-fixed-root-background`&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;* Set compatibility mode to Win7 on spotify.exe (and even Vista SP2 and XP SP3, just in the off-chance older win compatibility would fix it)&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;* Mess with locale files - some older threads mention ru.mo being problematic but it doesn't exist on my install at present, I nonetheless tried e.g. moving all but one locale (en.mo, en-us.pak)&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;* Uninstall, clean up appdata files, reinstall&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;No observed changes to the behaviour.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Any suggestions on how I could resolve this?&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I have to admit, for a first experience with any of the native Spotify clients, this has been a *horrendous* experience so far, considering it hasn't even managed to show a reasonable GUI yet and that I've found threads going back to 2013 that seem to describe similar problems...&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Thanks,&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Best regards,&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Laogeodritt&lt;/P&gt;</description>
