Hey @DrNuklear

It's a premium feature where users can download their playlists and music in general for offline listening within the spotify app.

It's illegal to download/extract any music whatsoever from Spotify, so that they use it outside Spotify. It doesn't really matter whether they are covers or originals, it's copyrighted content.

But if you mean cover art (albumart), then surely it's far easier to just google for 'em. :')

Let me know if you have more questions on this or anything else 🙂

Happy new year!

I mean Coverarts. Googling is certainly easier, but is it forbidden to download coverarts?

If yes, why do it many?

Well, it's a pretty small picture they're getting from Spotify then, a 300x300px image. There are good chances finding much bigger format album arts on last.fm for example, or Google in general.

Since it's not a feature (easy download of album cover arts by right-clicking on 'em or whatever), it would be safer to say it's not fine to do it. 🙂
