Save or Export Spotify Library or Playlists to CSV or XLS?

How do I save or export my Spotify Library or Playlists in a standard format, like CSV or XLS?

I have successfully used the copy-and-paste and drag-and-drop into Word suggestions. However, these methods only provide song title and author, no album names. On top of that, they inject a hyphen character between title and author, which can also appear in some longer song titles and authors. (From one software engineer to another, that's a bug.)

I'm in the process of evaluating whether to switch from another music subscription service to Spotify. It's very important for me to be able to backup a personal library that has been collected over seven years. I'm sure you keep backups, but I've been burnt by other music subscription services unintentionally before because of accidental software bugs, and I can see from your community forums that sometimes people's Playlists disappear.

How do I protect myself?

So spotify, two years to answer this simple but essential question , whats the solution here? You can not force us paying useres to quit your service but not beiing able to export playlists to carry over to a working streaming service ...

Spotify does not respond to user queries about basic, fundamental functions which are missing from Spotify. They should not only be part of the program, but should be relatively easy to address based on the fact that other music services provide these basic functions. It's amazing to me that Spotify is deaf to major issues brought up by paying customers month after month, year after year.

Dear Spotify,

I need to export my playlists to text files in order to play music on Touchtunes and AMI. I am a premium user and will leave by the end of this billing period if you don't create that option.

Hey! try using Musconv.com tool. It is an awesome tool that lets you transfer just about anything. It is helpful and saves me a lot of time.
