I noticed that too, i thought it was a problem with my installation but I even tried it on a new virtual machine, tried reinstalling on Windows 10, and on Linux, same problem. Maybe it's a bug

Opened up Spotify today, and I noticed that my friends activity is only showing what friends are currently listening to. Before today it used to show what all friends had been recently listening to. Even friends who hadn't listened in a few days. I've tried a reinstall and it hasn't fixed it. Is this part of the latest update?

On windows 10.

I have the same issue... I really hope it's not going to stay that way, it loses the whole point of the friend feed actually.
