topic Feature Request: Synchronize currently playing music between devices in Desktop (Windows)

Hi,

one of my daily use cases is the following:

I am driving to work, using spotify on android to listen to music in my car

I am sitting in the office, using the windows desktop application to listen to music

I am driving home, again using the android app to listen

I realized that, when I switch the device that I'm using, the client does not remember what I have been currently listening on the previous device. Example:

In the morning, while driving to work I decide to listen to the the latest Foo Fighters album "Concrete & Gold". When I am arriving at work, I stop playback in the middle of track 4.

So when I turn on my windows PC in the office and open spotify, I would expect that it let's me immediately continue listening what I listened to in my car, so I just wanna push play and carry on listening to track 4 of Concrete & Gold. But the deskop app instead still shows, what I have previously been listening on that same desktop app only (although I can of course still find Concrete & Gold in the "recently listened" section)

So I manually select track 4 of Concrete & Gold and carry on listening. During the work day, I listen to lot's of other stuff. Concentration playlist, other albums, radio, etc

When I am finally driving home, I would of course also continue listening where I stopped at my windows pc. But when I open the spotify android app, it shows me track 4 of Concrete & Gold, where I stopped in the morning, but I already continued listening to that album.

So I would like to request that spotify saves the currently played list, track and position in the account centrally, so I can always continue listening exactly where I stopped, even if I switch to another device.

I have the same problem. Five years later. I end up listening to the same songs over and over again unless I remember to connect the mobile app to the last device I was using.

This is ridiculous. Please fix this, Spotify.

How have they not fixed this issue? I have the same problem but with podcasts so it makes it more of a struggle to find the episode you left off on particularly where I finish an episode as I park my car then need to scroll through hundreds of episodes to find the next one if for example its a multi part podcast when I log on my laptop and then same again at end of day as I go back in car. I don't hold my breathe for a fix after reading the above so guess I will just try other services.

Same problem here I posted about a few years back. That's the problem with "community supported" applications. You pay for them, the community experts don't know, so don't answer, and the devs don't even bother answering. I was listening to an album on my phone. Stopped that and went to my desktop to continue listening, but a different album was playing there. Went out to my truck to drive somewhere and pulled up the app on my phone and the album from my desktop was playing. Makes absolutely zero sense and I'll be there's no coherent response here as to why.

Bottom line, if it's not a UI change or some sort of change toward social media, the devs dont' care and neither does corporate.
