Spotify desktop opens app on android phone

I'm reading a lot about spotify mobile automatically playing on some peoples phones, that's not what's happening to me.

When I open spotify on my desktop pc, the app automatically opens on my phone, and shows up on my lock screen. I hate that it does this, is there any way to stop this from happening? Thank you.

I can't delete this, so I'll just say I fixed it. I went to settings, applications, application manager, spotify, and turned off all notifications from spotify.

If I do that I can't use the reproduction control preset on the lock screen/notification bar.

My phone is a oneplus 5t and switched off let the app run when it's not used and worked fine.
