Can't link Facebook

Hi! So on the right side of the Spotify there is a button where it says Find friends. Clicking that brings up a small window where it says Link Facebook. I tried to click it but it does nothing. There are no friend suggestions on the right side or any other indication that the account got linked. The button just doesn't seem to do anything. Is anyone else having this problem?

Hey @Sellis97

You can try linking Facebook to Spotify in Preferences (hit Ctrl + P simultaneously, or click the upper-left three dots - Edit - Preferences). Under Social you should see a way to connect to Facebook.

Actually it wasn't possible since there was no option to link Facebook in the Social tab. I fixed this just by logging out and logging back in. Then it allowed to link Facebook from the button on the right side. I am guessing an update glitched it some time ago.

But now it just says that 0 of my Facebook friends use Spotify which I know is false. Just by asking my friends and looking at the Spotify app from Facebook itself it shows 171 Facebook friends using it. I am kinda baffled now.

That's odd indeed.

This bar seems to be working for me. It could be a case of some in-program error that can be wiped off with clean reinstallation.

Here's how to:

1. Close Spotify and uninstall it.

2. Go to %AppData% in Windows Explorer, and delete any Spotify folders you find in Local and Roaming folders.

3. Restart your computer.

4. Install Spotify.

(If you have Windows Store version, you can uninstall it from Apps And Features)
