Hi, I have a premium account but the sound with the app is really bad. If I share on Facebook for example what im playing, the sound over the Browser is pretty good. Only the sound using the application in the PC is bad.

The sound setting over the application is in High Quality mode, but I believe is not working. What can I do?

It could be your connection to the internet but i assume you have looked into that...I would recommend changing the settings into "auto".

Hey @Kikekoko

I suggest a clean reinstall as it might be a program issue. 🙂

1. Close Spotify and uninstall it.
2. Go to %AppData% in Windows Explorer, and delete any Spotify folders you find in Local and Roaming folders.
3. Restart your computer.
4. Install Spotify.

If the issue persists, I recommend taking a look at your soundcard settings.

1. The audio enhancements.
Realtek and other customer soundcards often have options for sound enhancements such as Dolby, bass-related settings etc.

a. Click on the speaker icon on taskbar, then click on the device icon on volume slider.

b. If you see a tab for audio enhancements, go to this and disable them. You may also have additional tabs for Dolby and so, disable those too.

If you have a different audio interface, these settings may be either in a control app that came with it, or they don't exist (like in the case of Focusrite).

2. Communications setting.

a. Right-click on speaker icon on taskbar, select Sounds.

b. Go to Communications tab and set Windows to do nothing.

Keep me posted 🙂
