topic Spotify Desktop - Black Screen in Desktop (Windows)

Every time I open my Desktop Spotify app on Windows 7, all that appears is a black screen. I think this might have had to do with the most recent update. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling and running in compatiblity mode. I also tried turning off hardware acceleration. Any ideas on how to fix this?

Hey @lanvyngo

That's strange!
No issues with that here. If you meant Windows update, could you check what the most recently installed updates were about? 🙂

You can try out the clean reinstall. Maybe that will help with this:
1. Close Spotify and uninstall it.
2. Go to %AppData% in Windows Explorer, and delete any Spotify folders you find in Local and Roaming folders.
3. Restart your computer.
4. Install Spotify.

Let me know how it goes!

Hi! Thank you for the suggestion. I tried that but unfortunately still does not work. I am referring to a Spotify update, not a Windows update 🙂
