Proxy doesn't work !

I'm using the latest version

I try to connect Spotify with the proxy, but it doesn't work!

I tested socks5 and HTTP proxy

my socks5 proxy running fine on telegram desktop and mobile

but after testing about 4 proxy and too many options! (like changing ie auto detect proxy option) it doesn't work

I am having similar issues. My machine has internet access. All of my browsers work. Spotify even works IN my browser. But the desktop app refuses to use my proxy settings (which used to work for years). This has been happening for months.

Make sure u only put an IP address in "Hostname" like 123.456.879.127 and NOT 123.456.879.127.static.quadranet.com. You have to insert a port number next to it, so not directly after the IP address but I think you got that right.

Try a socks5 server without an username and password, I tried a couple and they all worked.

Well ****, maybe you can try this:

To use spotify behind a http proxy, nagivgate to C:\Users\username\AppData\Roaming\Spotify. Open prefs using notepad. In the network.proxy.addr line, change the @https to @http.

This is what I do when I have this issue because my proxy isn't https.

My prody i http and https on the same port at the same time.
Anyway, prefs file network.proxy.addr line is @http too.
I reaserch and test too many way about 3 days and can't find any way to
work it fine! And using spotify web player.

Then it must be something about your proxy or Internet connection I think...

Don't know if Spotify is the problem since both the app and Web player are not working.
