Hey @StevenM1

I suggest trying out a clean reinstall of Spotify.

Usual uninstall leaves some folders behind (mostly local preferences etc) so when the app is reinstalled, the preferences are fetched from those files and the user doesn't need to twiddle the settings.

However, sometimes these can cause issues too. To remove them, try this:

1. Close Spotify and uninstall it.
2. Go to %AppData% in Windows Explorer, and delete any Spotify folders you find in Local and Roaming folders.
3. Restart your computer.
4. Install Spotify.

Let me know how it goes 🙂

Everytime I attempt to open the Spotify app a banner always shows up and states "The Spotify application is not responding". I have uninstalled and reinstalled 4 times but it still occurs.
