When listening to music there used to be an icon and below the song name + artist name, I wonder what happened to it?

There should be an image of the albums cover above the title of the song

Yes indeed.

It may happen for many resoasons. One of them is that Spotify is unable to download the Album Art and therefore it won't be displayed at all.

Have you tried to reinstall the app and see how it goes?
