Changes in the web helper

The new Spotify Update for Windows made the web helper not helpful anymore. I used the web helper to control spotify. But for now all valid requests to the web helper are not working anymore. The web helper still runs on 127.0.0.1:4381

I know it was never a official solution to work like this but I don't want to use the official Web Api. What I and the users should do without a Internet connection?

I think it would be fair when you give us developers the possiblity back to interact with your Software without going through the web API.

You destroyed many helpful applications with this update. Also you destroyed some awesome libarys which could control Spotify completely.

A official statement would be nice. Was it a mistake, is the web helper obsolete?

You can suggest your idea here and when it gets enough likes, it maybe gets implemented in the future 🙂

As you can see this is not a „idea“ that can be added. Is there a way to send a msg to the developers or do I only get premade answers...
