Hello Alfredo,

Thank you for the response. This issue persists across several different computers and with application reinstalls. It also persists across regular updates. This has been an issue for at least several months though I do not know exactly when it started or with which version. The current version I am using is 1.0.87.491.ge2a121fc.

Please let me know if there is any other diagnostic information I can provide. Thanks!

Hey all,

Apologies if this is a duplicate issue, but I've had this come up on several Windows 10 machines with multiple displays and it seems to be consistent between them. I figured it'd at least be worth a mention.

Plan

Premium

Country
United States

Device

Multiple (PC)

Operating System

Windows 10 1803 Professional and Enterprise

My Question or Issue

On a system with multiple displays, I keep Spotify on a display that is not designated as the Primary. Spotify will launch correctly on the secondary display as expected. However, the taskbar icon will appear on the primary display each time despite Windows settings that should be preventing this. I can move the application to the primary display and back to the secondary and the taskbar icon will move to that display correctly -- but on launch, it always appears on the incorrect display. It's very possible that this is a Windows issue, but since this behavior is unique to Spotify I figured I would start by sharing here.

Thanks!

Hey @CJS7070, welcome to the Community!

Just to confirm, has Spotify always behaved this way on your desktop, or did this start with a recent update? Also, please send us the exact Spotify version you're running.

In the meantime, try reinstalling the app.

All the best.
