Why can I no longer share an album or playlist with a friend within Spotify?

My Question or Issue
Unless I am wrong I can not share a playlist or album with a fellow Spotify user within Spotify desktop software.
I DO NOT WISH TO CONNECT WITH FACEBOOK, AND MY FRIENDS DON'T EITHER!

Why did you take this function away? I see that it used to be that you could choose share, choose a friend and click SEND.
No more apparently.
Why not?
I HATE FACEBOOK AS DO MANY PEOPLE!
Please do not try to force your users to use FACEBOOK OR ANY OTHER SOCIAL MEDIA!
Why can't you just give us back the function of sharing with friends within spotify?????

The DM feature Spotify had is no longer available. You can find more about it here.

However, the Friend Feed doesn't require you to have Facebook connected. Just find your friends profiles in Spotify and follow them, they can do the same 🙂
