Hey @y4hy4

I'd suggest checking if you have all Windows updates installed, especially those for drivers and graphics-related features. That sounds like there might be a problem with graphics.

You can also go to Safe Mode (enter msconfig to search, go to Boot tab, select Safe Boot (network) and click OK. The next restart gets you to Safe Mode.
To get out of this, you have to go back to msconfig and unselect Safe Boot.

In Safe Mode you can try if Spotify opens normally there, and you can also try reinstalling it.

Here is an offline installer you can use.

Let me know how it goes 🙂

Country

UK

Device

ASUS Laptop

Operating System

Windows 10

My Question or Issue

Everytime I open the spotify app, it either doesn't load anything or it loads a black screen. I can't use the app at all as nothing shows up. This has been happening to me for a month or two now. I've tried reinstalling, I've got hardware acceleration turned off, I've tried changing compatibility settings to windows 7/8, I've tried moving the roaming files to another location, and I've tried older versions of spotify. Even with admin settings, it just doesn't change.

Please could someone help me out with this.
