My Question or Issue

For a couple of weeks now I can't login to Spotify on my work PC. I keep getting the error: A firewall may be blocking Spotify. Please update your firewall to allow Spotify. Additionally you could try changing the currently used proxy settings (Error code: 31)

It works on the browser and on my Android mobile.

I have read some similar issues and the closest one seems to be that I have it running in a different country than the country in my profile.

Indeed that might be true since our work proxy goes through a different country.

What can I do now? It shouldn't be that important if it works in the browser and on my mobile.

Since you're using Spotify at work, it's likely that due to the proxy settings in place, you won't be able to use the Spotify desktop app. We recommend that you use the Web Player instead.
