My Question or Issue

Spotify alerts me that there is an update and a restart is required, however when I run it, I get an error saying spotfiy update couldn't start.

if it's error 24:

go to spotify installation folder (in %appdata%) and run spotifyLauncher.exe, that always works for me

It doesn't have an error number. It just says: "It seems like spotify updater wasn't able to start properly. Would you like to wait a bit more?"

I tried running the spotifyupdater.exe as administator from appdata to see if it would help, but it still gave the same error.

I just had the same problem. The solution that worked was to uninstall and install again Spotify.
