Windows 8.1 64bit, Premium Subscription, Version 1.0.96.181.gf6bc1b6b, Spotify App 32bit(/shrug?)

So I just started using Spotify after seeing a friend use it, and getting recommended. I saw one of those friends using their media buttons and getting an overlay.

I looked online and found its supposed to be in the options, I looked but found it not to be there.

I would just like to clarify that my keyboard doesn't have native Media Keys but I was able to bind them in with the keyboards program, if the issue is Spotify detecting no media buttons, is there anywhere in the files I can change the "pc has media buttons" txt to true, or is it just a completely different issue? I have logged in and out and reinstalled with the latest version of Spotify.
