I had this problem a while back, what I did was right click on the bottom left of the taskbar where there is an audio/speaker image, and click on playback devices, then go to the communications tab and check "Do nothing." That should stop the audio being lowered whenever a game loads up.

Hello!

Recently I've been getting quite annoyed when I'm listening to music. Everything is completely fine when browsing the web and such. But once I fire up a game (Guild Wars 2 in this case), the volume level in spotify lowers a bit. I have a Logitech G35 if that indicates anything. I have also tried the Communications tab thing, which does nothing. This is very annoying when the volume lowers, but doesn't show.

Thanks in advance

Could the game be lowering the volume? I know that when I received a Skype notification, my music volume was lowered. I think it's likely the game is doing the same/similar thing.

Have you checked the game preferences?

I have checked the game settings and such and there doesn't seem to be anything there. It might be my headset because it's been acting strange after I got the latest software for it. (Logitech G35)

This happens to me randomly while listening to Spotify, but only while using my Logitech T650 Touchpad. I suspect a problem with the Setpoint software, as various threads I've found with the same problem all seem to have one thing in common: a Logitech pointing device.
