You need to create a new temporary folder in C:\(outside the 'Users' folder), put there the installer file and run it from there.

The full installer could help too: http://download.spotify.com/SpotifyFullSetup.exe

(Make sure you're running the installer as Administrator → right-click and "Run as Administrator".)

Hello, I've been unable to install Spotify for Windows 7 for 2 months. Everytime I launched Spotify it said an update is avaliable, so I clicked yes, update. And each time it said: SpotifyInstaller has stopped working, so I just closed the window and 10 second later Spotify launched. The program launched, but this was pretty annoying process, so today I deleted the application, but when I try to re-download it from the official site, the same error message appears. What should I do?

Thank you this installer works perfectly. Interestingly enough, when I
tried to run it as admininstrator, it popped an error message saying:
Please run this setup as a normal user, not as an administrator
