iOS app locks up. On restart, the queue resets

After pausing the music and switching to a different app, the Spotify app will occasionally be locked up when I go back to it. No response from the play button.

Eventually, the app will restart or close. Alternatively, I have closed the app manually.

When the app is reopened, the queue is completely cleared.

Typically, I will have a playlist running (i.e Daily Mix #x) and then will add other tunes to the queue. The above occurs regardless of whether a playlist is running or if I have things in the queue.
