This is not my idea, I'm just expanding on it.

This would be great. I have many local files on my externeal hdd, I would love the ability to have Spotify, scan through them all and add the Spoitfy versions. Some way to convert all of my local files to Spotify ones. I know I should make the switch to Spotify, but, this is one of the factors that is preventing me. It would take me forever to add all of my songs one by one. If there was a way that I could convert what I already have...I, and I'm sure many other users, would be pleased.
