Spotify causing a grey, then black screen when playing video games

My Question or Issue

For the last year, spotify has been causing (or is most likely the cause of) crashes that make my screen go grey, then black. In that time, I can not access the pc. This is hard for me since I like to listen to music while playing online games. I have disabled hardware speedup, and I use 2 screens. At this point I am helpless and thankful for any advice.

Hey @JakeGruen, help's here.

Does this happen with only one of the screens, and when you use the Web Player or the Spotify app? If the former, we're currently looking into it here, so make sure to check it out and add a +Vote. If the latter, try the following:

A quick reinstall.
A different internet connection
Restart your router

If that doesn't help, let us know more specifically when exactly it crashes, what happens, and send a screenshot.

It is on the normal application, not the web player, and it is on both screens. I think I tried a reinstall, will try again and update.
