Spotify automatically plays if no other audio is playing

My Question or Issue

Whenever I stop watching a video with audio from youtube or any other website, Spotify will realize that no audio is playing and will automatically start playing music from the Spotify player on my laptop. I have to close out of the app every time and I'm not sure what's causing the issue.

It might sound too easy but have you tried reinstalling the app ?

If not, i'd suggest doing it following these steps here.

Note: Reinstalling the app will remove all offline content saved.
