If I wanted to lack any form of control over my apps I'd be using the Microsoft or Apple store, thank you very much. Please stay the **** out of my appdata folder, and let me choose what I do with my own apps.

So, how do can I do something as extremely simple as choosing where to install Spotify? I use multiple local accounts and would like to stop Spotify from breaking with every update. Nor would I like to waste precious SSD space by having multiple full installs on my pc, without any good reason.

Please tell me how to this simple, simple thing.

Please, this has been an issue since 2012, for crying out loud...

Cheers,

Weerds

Hello @Weerds ,

Thanks for reaching out to the community!

There's usually a difference with the windows store app version of Spotify and the desktop program version downloaded from Spotify's website.

The Windows Store app version will install it on the drive you have told Windows to install your apps on, you can change this setting in Windows 10 by going to:

Settings > System > Storage > Change where new content is saved:
New apps will save to: and change the location to your preferred drive and hit apply.

This will change the location for installing all new apps from the store.

Hope this helps! Keep me updated.

🙂
