Spotify will not recognize external DAC

My Question or Issue

If I have no audio playing on my dac for too long my computer no longer recognizes my DAC and refuses to play. The only solution I've found it to unplug the dac from my computer, and play audio through my monitor's built-in speakers, start playing spotify, and then plugging the dac back in. Spotify is the only application that has this problem and other than that the audio is completely normal.

Thanks for reaching out to the community!

There's a program called Fidelify to get Spotify to output to the DAC and it works with either ASIO or WASAPI but do note you will need a premium Spotify account for it to work!
