Error 17 & Spotify play bug

I've had this issue recently where whenever I would play a song it would play for only a few seconds and immediately stops. This would keep happening every time I open Spotify and try to play a song. I tried to close out of the program and reopen it to have a message saying Spotify is not responding. And when I do get back into the program the same play error will persist. I also have tried reinstalling it but instead, now I get is an error 17 message when trying to boot up the installer.

Sorry to hear you're having an issue.

Error 17 can be caused due to the following :

- Bad traces of program installation

- System updates

- Audio driver updates

To address each one of them, please perform a clean uninstall of the Spotify app then use any Registry software you can find to locate, scan and fix issues on your system.

In addition, make sure your system is updated as well as your audio drivers.

Then perform a fresh installation.

Your instructions did help me to be able to reinstall Spotify, the only problem that still persists, however, is the play bug. Songs would play for a few seconds then stop immediately, this occurs for all songs I try to play.
