When you open your Spotify App, you will see three dots on the top left corner. Click there and you will be given several options. Click on Edit > Preferences. Then you will see a "Show Advance Settings" and then you have to scroll down to "Playback Devices" and there you can see which output your Spotify is set to.

Keanu_C

Plan

Free

Country

United States

Device

HP Spectre

Operating System

Windows 10

My Question or Issue

I have tried all the fixes listed in the "Can't play Spotify" troubleshoot, but my computer still won't play any audio. It shows that something is playing, the volume is all the way up on both my laptop and the app, but no audio to be heard. It's only Spotify with this issue, as Youtube and the standard Windows audio players work just fine.

Hey @songaisoul

What you can do is check to make sure that Spotify is using your defult speaker system. Sometimes, it could have made a different sound mixer your primary source.

Keep me posted!

Keanu_C

I'm not quite sure how to do that. I've looked everywhere within the app, but can't find out where the app's output is.
