Task Bar Mini Widget Player No Longer Shows Up

A week or so I realized that tast bar mini player ws no longer sliding out; rebooted my machine and nothing changed.

You mean the preview of the whole window or only the controls?

The mini widget, that appears when you hover over the task bar; it's a like a mini player that you can pause skip or or go back a song. But I then realized it was only happening at work, and so I'm assuming it's some kind of a admin policy blocking widgets?.
