Muting windows sound while spotify is playing

Hello,

While listening to spotify there are still the other windows notification sounds such as Whatsapp, facebook etc...

Is there an option to mute these notification sounds while spotify is on?

Hi, welcome to the community, and thanks for posting! Unfortunately, there's not a quick and easy way of doing this that I'm aware of. You can mute currently playing apps by right clicking the volume icon in the taskbar and using your volume mixer, but beyond that you would have to go on an app by app basis to mute anything you don't want to play notification sounds and/or adjust these from your Windows "notifications & actions" settings if you are on Windows 10 and any of these apps are from the Windows store. There's definitely not a way to control this through Spotify as this would really be a system level Windows issue, and of course you'd then have to go back and unmute everything you want unmuted when you're finished with Spotify.
