Hey, thanks for your post. Unfortunately, this seems to be a limitation of Connect at the moment as it currently only supports standard tracks on certain devices, not podcasts; so, your workaround of using bluetooth would be the only way to play them on sound systems that give you that "can't play this right now" message. I believe there are some devices, such as PS4, that are capable of playing podcasts, but audio only devices seem to be more limited in the types of content they will play through Connect.

Plan

Premium

Country

Belgium

Device

Desktop

Operating System

Windows 10

My Question or Issue

I cannot play podcasts on my soundbar via Spotify Connect (message is "can't play this right now" and greyed out selection of the device). The device in question is a Philips HTL5160.

The funny thing is I can perfectly play podcasts by connecting my phone on the Bluetooth channel of my soundbar.

So what's happening in the Spotify Connect protocol?

Thanks!
