My Question or Issue

Does playing music offline count towards the total plays which decide which songs are put on the playlist each year?
What counts as a play; is it just clicking on the song, listening to a certain point (50% of the track) or completing the track fully?
Is the specific method which decides plays for that playlist also used for the discovery weekly algorithm?
