Plan

Premium

Device

PC

Operating System

Windows 7

So this began out of nowhere, and all steps I've taken to try to resolve seem to have made the issue worse. Absolutely no stuttering issue on my smartphone (iPhone X)

Done everything i can find on the forums.
Turned of:-
Hardware acceleration
volume normalization
No Change

Changed stream quality to high. No change

Changed proxy settings to "No Proxy". No change

Uninstall/Reinstall: No Change

Ended the process tree of higher CPU/memory consuming programs Spotify concurrently operated with: made it worse

Ensured Spotify is allowed in windows firewall/Avira firewall: already permitted

What am I supposed to do now? I am not paying for a premium service just to have it on my phone. I will go back to iTunes very quickly at this point

Hi again @OneByBoo

Attached screen shots. Basically both audio drivers are up to date. Tried manually downloading and installing the driver for the Nvidia device and windows said its up to date.

tried disabling then enabling both and it didn't change anything. i attempted to uninstall "high definition audio device" but after restart, it didn't actually uninstall anything as all was normal after reboot.

The only thing i can think of that i did prior to this was i ran a clean up program by Avira.

Other than that, this incredibly frustrating... any ideas/tips welcome

Hi again @OneByBoo

I have gone back to a restore point prior to the stuttering issues occurring, and this has fixed it. Have also created a windows restore point here as well.

It seems, there was some blank/unnamed processes in task manager that were chewing up memory causing the stuttering, unsure where these came from but possibly a registry error of some sort.

All fixed now, I greatly appreciate all your suggestions and efforts
