strem vs. downloaded files

My Question or Issue

Hello. I use a lot the Windows Desktop version at my job. I downloaded a few playlists and listen to them in offline mode.

But I have a question. If I turn to online mode and listen to any of the playlists I downloaded, will Spotify play the music from my computer or will it play them from stream?

The question may be silly but as I am connected at network in my job I don't want to strangle network speed or bandwidth. It would give me troubles...

thanks for posting !

First i must say, no question is silly.

The Spotify app is an online streaming service with a download/offline/local files features that provides the user with the option to either add/download tracks for offline puproses.

However, the app's first choice of connection would always be using the network connection the device is listed on.
