Find the speaker icon on Taskbar again. Right-click on it and select Sounds.
2. In the opened window go to Communications and set Windows to do nothing.

3. Click Apply/OK.

Let me know how it goes!

Plan

Premium

Country

Netherlands

Operating System

Windows 10

My Question or Issue

Whenever getting a message/notification from discord(messages where you are tagged in/direct messages) my spotify music pauses for like 1 or 2 seconds untill the notification sound from discord has ended. Is there any way to turn this off and just have the music simply continue?

Thanks for this. In my case it's not Discord but Cisco Jabber.

More specifically for Windows 10, after going into the Sound settings, you need to open the Sound Control Panel to access the Communications tab

Edit: That didn't work. I also had to Disable the Headset/Communication Device for my headphones in the Playback and Recording tabs.
