Windows 10 Desktop App Not Working

Plan: Premium

Country: US

Device: Dell XPS 9560

Operating System: Windows 10

My Question or Issue:

My Spotify Windows 10 Desktop app will not play any music. It either displays an error message saying that "Spotify can't play this right now. If you have the file on your computer you can import it." OR it will look like it's going to play songs in an album/playlist, but it just skips through each not actually playing them, until the end of the album/playlist. I have no problems using my Spotify phone app or the web player.

I've tried the following to fix this issue:

Soft and hard restarts of desktop app and computer

Uninstalling and reinstalling desktop app

Checking that my app is up-to-date (it is)

Checking that I have enough available memory (I do - 339 GB free)

Checking my internet connection (it's working fine)

Troubleshooting my device (it's working just dandy)

Making sure my firewall isn't blocking the desktop app (it isn't)

I'd love for a solution to this issue. If I can't use Spotify at work, then there's no point in having it, since that's where I use it primarily.
