My Question or Issue

Ok so, when i try to play any song a message comes up on the top of the screen that says "spotify can't play this right now. If you have the file on your computer you can import it."

It is like this on every song and every playlist i try on the spotify app. but playing spotify from my web browser works for some reason. Help!

Have you tried reinstalling the app? You can read here how.

If this doesn't help, try removing Spotify from your host files. Here's how:

Close Spotify if it's running
Go to C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc
Open the file "hosts" in notepad
Delete any entry you find which contains the name "Spotify"
Save the file
Reboot your computer and try again
