Song progress bar always in the wrong place

My Question or Issue

For the past few months, the song progress bar at the bottom of the screen is very often in the wrong place. This most frequently occurs when changing to a new track part way through another one; the bar sometimes just carries on from where it was. It increasingly seems to jump to the wrong place seemingly at random, though.

The reason this is a problem is that the MusixMatch lyrics app seems to use the position of the progress bar to determine which lyrics to show and if that's not in the right place, the lyrics are out of sync. Clicking the progress bar corrects this but it's become so frequent that that's not a viable solution.
